After researching other options online, I bought several of these for our iPhones and every user agrees they are excellent. The inside of the front screen requires cleaning periodically so the cover must be disassembled, but it is easy and only takes a few minutes. Great case that protects your iPhone from about anything. Does NOT protect against liquids or moisture at all but is perfect for drops and dings that may happen.
Very protective and sturdy. Did not realize there was a clear plastic built in face and that just makes it even better. I wish there were some "cuter" ones but I will stay with this just because of how protective it is.
This was a replacement case because my old one got dirty and discolored after less than a year. The case is still in great shape and I recommend the Defender series to everyone. it has been dropped off shopping carts before and no damage to the iPhone. I just wish I could have bought only a replacement outer cover instead of the entire mechanism, since the interior had nothing wrong with it. Instead of a light color this time, I ordered the dark grey to avoid the discoloration.
The case fits as it said it would. It was returned under warranty and was replaced without any issues. I have purchased other OtterBox products as a result of this purchase.
Bought this for my son's iphone four months ago. Last night he came home panicked, worried he dropped it in the driveway at a moving location, but located it with gps. To his shock it had, indeed, been RUN OVER by the moving truck, but survived! It is probably not waterproof anymore, as the clear cover separated from the box in one spot, but praise God the iphone is unharmed. Totally sold on OtterBox :)
It absolutely protects the phone. If you never drop your phone, you don't need one. If you're like the rest of us, sooner or later it gets dropped. The Otter Box Defender will definitely protect it. It is bulky but worth it.
